News: Dive into an ever-changing realm of Guardians, trials, and perks with Destiny 2’s Season of the Wish. This season introduces thrilling upgrades, fresh activities, and improvements designed to enhance your gaming journey.

Upcoming Exotic Armor and Armor Mods Changes

Brace yourself for exciting updates to Exotic armor and armor mods! This round of improvements is focused on bolstering underutilized Exotics and expanding the range of compelling melee-oriented options for all three classes. Additionally, efforts have been made to elevate the two least favored Aeon cult sects, providing enhanced value in high-end PvE gameplay. Here are the details:

Hunter

Shards of Galanor

– Eliminating enemies with a Throwing Knife will now reward Super energy, with the amount ranging from +2.5% to +5%, depending on the type of enemy dispatched.

Ophidia Spathe

– Securing kills with a knife will now bestow a stacking damage bonus, increasing by +30%, +60%, and ultimately +100% for a duration of 5 seconds on throwing knives. The bonus duration is refreshed with each successful dodge.

Titan

Severance Enclosure

– The explosion size and damage have been amplified.

– Eliminating targets with the Exotic’s explosion will now activate a secondary explosion for added impact.

Peregrine Greaves

– To activate the Exotic effects, you must now spend a brief period in mid-air.

– Inflicting damage on Champions, Tormentors, or mini-bosses with a shoulder charge not only deals augmented damage but also refunds your melee energy.

Wormgod Caress

– The Exotic effect of Burning Fist has undergone a significant overhaul. It now operates as a meter that accumulates with each melee kill and finisher, gradually diminishing over time.

– The meter is segmented into five sections, each unlocking escalating bonuses for melee and Glaive melee damage. Additionally, reaching the upper end of the meter activates escalating weapon damage bonuses.

– Instead of deactivating abruptly, the meter undergoes a gradual decay, retracing through its earlier tiers. The rate of decay increases as the meter approaches full capacity.

Ashen Wake

– Fusion Grenade impacts will now induce a stun effect on Unstoppable Champions.

Synthoceps

– Eliminated the extended melee lunge distance.

– Now enhances weapon handling and reload speed when surrounded.

– Lowered the PvE bonus for melee damage when surrounded to +165% (previously +200%).

– Augmented the Glaive melee bonus to +100% (previously +50%).

Precious Scars

– Eliminating enemies with weapons aligned with your subclass will now bestow Restoration Tier 1 for 1.5 seconds in PvP and 3 seconds in PvE.

Warlock

Ballidorse Wrathweavers

– Upon casting a Frostpulse rift, nearby allies will receive a Tier 2 Stasis Surge weapon bonus for 10 seconds in PvE and 5 seconds in PvP. Additionally, they gain a 50 HP overshield.

– The stasis damage bonus granted to allies by the Winter’s Wrath Shockwave has been upgraded to the Tier 4 Stasis Surge weapon bonus. Upon the conclusion of your Winter’s Wrath, you, too, receive the Tier 4 Stasis Surge weapon bonus.

Apotheosis Veil

– Casting your Super now grants Cure Tier 3 for you and nearby allies.

– After your Super ends, you temporarily gain greatly increased melee and grenade regen for 8 seconds.

Felwinter’s Helm

– Moved the size of the weakening burst and duration of weaken up one tier against all targets, except for finishers against bosses, which retains the maximum size and duration.

Karnstein Armlets

– Melee kills now grant Cure T3 and Restoration T1 for 8 seconds.

– Finishers now grant Cure T3 and Restoration T2 for 8 seconds.

Aeon Cult

– Aeon Swift, Aeon Safe, and Aeon Soul Exotic armor have received changes to their “sect” mods.

– Sect of Force now focuses on providing significant bonus weapon damage against powerful combatants for allies. The bonus grenade and melee energy has been moved to be the special benefit granted to Aeon cult allies using a different sect.

– Sect of Insight no longer grants a bonus to weapon damage for a short time to nearby Aeon cult allies who do not have the Sect of Insight role equipped. Instead, they gain a burst of Super energy.

– Sect of Vigor now provides damage resistance against combatants when an ally dies or is resurrected, in addition to the existing class ability benefits. Nearby critically wounded allies gain damage resistance from combatants as long as they stay near a Sect of Vigor player. Nearby Aeon cult allies who do not have the Sect of Vigor role equipped will also recover class ability energy more quickly.

Armor Mod Changes

We are also making adjustments to several Armor Mods to maintain a balance in ability energy sources throughout the game. The aim is to ensure meaningful buildcrafting choices and proportional uptime for abilities. Here are the changes:

– Heavy Handed, Firepower, and Reaper now have a 10-second cooldown for generating an Orb of Power. Reaper also requires a kill be secured within 10 seconds of using your class ability.

– Melee Kickstart, Grenade Kickstart, and Utility Kickstart now provide between +16% and +45% ability energy and require a single armor charge to be consumed.

– Momentum Transfer, Bolstering Detonation, Impact Induction, and Focusing Strike now provide 12%/17%/20% ability energy for 1/2/3 stacks respectively and require a powered melee attack.

– Outreach and Bomber now provide 12%/17%/20% ability energy for 1/2/3 stacks respectively.

– Outreach, Bomber, and Distribution provide 12%/17%/20% ability energy for 1/2/3 stacks respectively. Distribution also provides 4%/6%/7% ability energy. Energy provided is further reduced based on the cooldown of the class ability used, with shorter cooldowns reducing it by 60%.

These changes will reintroduce meaningful choices in ability usage and the Armor Charge system, while maintaining balance.

End of Season Approaches

The Season of the Wish will conclude on November 28, 2023, at 9 AM PST. Make sure to claim all engrams and other rewards before the new Season begins. Any unredeemed rewards from non-Seasonal vendors will be removed at the start of the next Season.

Updated Text Chat Filtering

At Bungie, we value creating worlds that inspire friendship and positive teamwork. To promote this, we will be implementing significant improvements to the text-chat language filters in early December. Here are a few important things to note:

– This is the first step of a multiphase rollout to minimize unintended behavior. The filter’s rules will be continuously audited and updated.

– Players can still toggle “Allow Profanity” on and off through the in-game social settings. However, personal settings may be temporarily overridden by the new filters in the initial rollout. We are working on resolving this in a future phase.

– The filter system will prioritize the thirteen languages/dialects officially supported by Destiny 2. Players using non-supported languages may experience the system filtering out words that do not violate the Code of Conduct.

– Initially, the filter system will only automatically filter language and will not impact player accounts. However, Bungie staff may manually intervene in behavior that violates the Code of Conduct while auditing system performance.

– Players encountering unexpected filter behavior will soon be able to report it through a dedicated submission form.

Known Issues

While we continue to investigate various known issues, here are the latest issues reported to us:

– The Ascendancy Rocket Launcher does not appear in the preview screen of the Legacy Gear Menu at the Monument to Lost Lights.

– The All for One Crota’s End raid challenge may not complete for players who meet the conditions correctly.
