COMEDK PGET Exam Pattern 2014 Exam Details on Pattern, Marking & Duration

The COMEDK PGET (Post Graduate Entrance Test) is the common entrance exam conducted for the admission of eligible candidates in the medical and dental courses respectively. The candidates who wish to apply in the concerned entrance exam must go through the details of eligibility, marking and selection from the information as given here below.

The COMEDK PGET is organized every year in the first/ second week of February for all the eligible applicants. The exam provides admission to the candidates in the private medical and dental and engineering college association in the state of Karnataka.

Name of Exam: COMEDK Post Graduate Entrance Test

Conducting Authority: Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka

Courses of Admission: MDS/ MS/ MD

Eligibility for Exam:

The applicants for the COMEDK PGET should possess an under graduate degree in MBBS/ BDS and a permanent membership of the Medical Council of India or Dental Council of India for this purpose. The applicants who do not possess the membership will be provided two months time to get the same from the date of admissions.

Details of Paper Pattern:

The COMEDK PGET shall be having two separate papers for the Medical and Dental courses respectively. The test will be based on the objective multiple choice questions on the concerned subjects to be solved in the given time frame.

Mode of Examination: Offline Test (Paper Pencil Mode)

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours

Number of Questions: 180 (per paper)

There will be two sections in the exam. Section A shall contain 150 questions and Section B 30 Questions on Clinical Vignettes respectively. The candidates will be given a total of four options to choose from for answering in the exam.

Marking Scheme:

The candidates will be given 1 mark for each correct answers marked by them while there will be deduction of no marks in case of wrong answers marked by them. The questions having more than one answer marked by the applicants in the concerned exam shall be given no marks.
