CMAT Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Paper Pattern and Marking Scheme

The CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) is the national level entrance exam conducted for admissions to post graduate courses in management. The candidates shortlisted in the exam can avail admissions in some of the top B-Schools based on their merit in the concerned entrance exam. Paper Pattern of CMAT 2014:

There will be an objective type paper having multiple choice questions on the following main sections as given below:

I. Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation

II.Logical Reasoning

III.Language Comprehension and

IV.General Awareness

Total Number of Questions: 100

Total Marks Allotted: 400 Marks

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours/ 180 Minutes

Marking Criteria:

The candidates will be given four marks for each correct answer marked by them whereas there will be deduction of 1 mark for each wrong answer attempted by them. The candidates will be given trial test from 10th August 2014 at the official website for this purpose.

Modes of Examination:

The Common Management Entrance Test (CMAT) is conducted in both the modes- online computer based test and offline paper- pencil test respectively. The candidates can choose either of the following modes for examination as per their convenience and efficiency for this purpose.

Eligibility for CMAT:

The applicants for the Common Management Entrance Test should be graduate in nay discipline from a recognized university/ college. Those candidates who are appearing for the final year examinations of their qualifying degree are also eligible to apply in the Test provided they could produce their degrees by the time of final admissions.

About Common Management Entrance Test:

The CMAT is held twice a year in the months of February and September respectively for inviting admissions to the two year post graduate management programmes. The test is conducted at the national level and includes the participation of all the AICTE approved management institutions under it.
