Central Institute of Fisheries Education Admission 2014- 15
Central Institute of Fisheries Education (ICAR) has issued admission advertisement in the various courses to M.F.Sc. in one of the leading Indian newspapers each year in the month of Jan / Feb. The Academic Council determines the total number of students to be admitted in PG and PH.D. Degree programmes in an academic session, keeping the availability of teaching faculty and the laboratory facilities in view. The availability of seats each year will be clearly specified in the admission notification and simultaneously is not altered without the Academic Council’s concurrence.

Selection Procedure:
M.F.Sc. in Selection:
A combined examination for the award of ICAR Junior Research Fellowship and admissions to 100% seats of PG Degree Programme at CIFE is conducted by the Education Division. Candidates will be selected at the time of counseling for the award of ICAR Junior Research Fellowship and admission to State Agricultural Universities and Deemed Universities on the basis of merit in the Entrance Examination
Ph.D. in Selection:
An All India Competitive Written Examination for admission to Ph.D. in Fisheries shall be held in June at Mumbai. The candidates who fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria will be permitted to appear at the Entrance Test. To test the knowledge of the candidate in the discipline to which admission is sought, a written test covering the subject matter shall be conducted before the interview. The details will be advertized in advance on the website.
Procedure for Registration:
Applicants can send their application forms and Prospectus / information bulletin for Admission and Entrance Test to Ph.D. programmes which can be attained from the below given address and have to be deposited duly filled applications on the same address. The application forms along with the Provisional Admit Card and Acknowledgement Card (affixed with postal stamps of the amount indicated therein, and filled legibly and correctly by the applicant) should be forwarded with necessary sets of attested copies of the documents, viz., high school certificates as a proof of date of birth, mark sheet of degree examination passed and SC/ST certificate (if applicable) to –

Information Bulletin holds the following documents:
Two computerized application forms which have to be filled very carefully and neatly as per the instructions. These forms have a number printed on it as application number. The applicant is required to check whether this number is the same in both the forms as well as on Provisional Admit Card, Acknowledgement Card and the Information Bulletin.
