Details of BSF Exam Pattern 2015-
Name of Exam: BSF Head Constable (Radio Operators) & Assistant Sub Inspectors (Radio Mechanic) Recruitment Exam
Conducting Organization: Border Security Force
Eligibility for Exam:
The applicants should be at least Matriculation /Intermediate/ Class 12th passed along with Diploma in Radio & TV Technology /Electronics/ Telecommunications/ Computer/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering /Domestic Appliances from any recognized university or institutions with at least 55% marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Diploma in ITI from relevant trades with 10+2 in PCM Group of subjects.
Manner of Selection:
The candidates are required to appear in the following listed exams held in two main phases –
Phase 1-
1) Written Examination
Phase 2-
1) Preliminary Screening
2) Physical Efficiency Test
3) Dictation Test
4) Verification of Original Documents
5) Personal Interview and
6) Final Medical Examination respectively

Schemata of Written Exam (Phase 1) –
The written exam is the first exam in the list of selection procedure to be qualified for getting selected in the posts mentioned. The written exam shall be having objective type multiple choice based questions on the following main topics:
Part I: Physics (60 Marks)
Part II: Mathematics (60 Marks)
Part III: Chemistry (30 Marks)
Part IV: English & General Knowledge (50 Marks)
Total Marks Allotted: 200
Exam Pattern for Phase 2-
This shall be followed by other examinations as listed in Phase 2. The exam pattern for the remaining tests shall be according to the skill which is tested by BSF.
PET: This shall include the following: 1.6 km race to be completed in 6.5 minutes, Long Jump of 3.65 meters to be qualified in three chances and 1.2 meters High Jump also to be qualified in three chances.
Dictation Test: This shall include the dictation test to be conducted in English for 10 marks.
PI & DV: The last round of exam includes PI & DV to be conducted for all those candidates who have successfully qualified the initial rounds. The Personal Interview would carry 25 marks in the selection procedure.
