The Border Road Organization (BRO) announces exam date for the recruitment of the candidates eligible in the following posts through written exam, physical test and interviews respectively.

The Border Road Organization is the organization responsible for the works related to the construction of the road for the Border States. The head office of the BRO is located in New Delhi. The organization was brought in to existence in the year 1960.

BRO Recruitment Exam Date 2014:

Posts offered under Exam:

1. Supervisor Store

2. Laboratory Assistant

3. Hindi Typist

4. Vehicle Mechanic

5. Driver Mechanical Transport (Ordinary Grade)

6. Operator Excavating Machine (Ordinary Grade)

7. Driver Road Roller (Ordinary Grade)

Job Place: New Delhi

Income Ranges: Pay Band I: Rs. 5200-20200 +Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/ 2000/ 2400 (as per the level of post)

Exam Pattern:

The recruitment is based on the following exams:

1. Physical Test

2. Trade Test/ Written Test

3. Interview

The written exam contains questions on the following: General Knowledge, General English/ General Hindi, General Arithmetic, Analytical and Quantitative Skills and questions on the educational or technical qualifications as possessed by the applicants.

Centres of Written/ Trade Test:

i) Rishikesh for the following zones

(Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Haryana)

ii) Tezpur for the following zones

(Orissa, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh & Tripura)

iii) Pune Zone for the following states

(Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Goa, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Pondicherry)

Eligibility for BRO Exam:

The applicants for the Border Road Organization should possess either of the following educational degrees for being eligible to the above stated positions: SSC (Senior Secondary) / Intermediate (HSSC) / Graduation / ITI (Indian Trade Institute) in disciplines as chosen for the job profiles

Age Bar:

The applicants should be at least 18 years of age and not more than 27 years from the date of application for this purpose

Selection Parameters:

There will be following three stages of exams for the selection- written exam, physical test and interview respectively.
