BPCL Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Paper Pattern, Eligibility & Qualifying Criteria

The Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) conducts the recruitment exam every year for the post of MT (Management Trainees) respectively. The applicants interested to apply and qualify in the concerned recruitment exam may go through the complete details of the entrance exam from the information as given here below. The applicants who wish to apply in the concerned recruitment exam should follow the eligibility rules as specified for this purpose in order to appear in the concerned recruitment exam.

Name of Exam: BPCL Recruitment Exam

Conducting Authority: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited

Recruitment for: Management Trainee

Eligibility for Exam:

The applicants should be graduation passed in engineering from a UGC recognized university/ college for this purpose. The candidates should have completed 60% marks (for General Candidates) in the qualifying exam i.e. B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) and 50% marks (SC/ST/ PWD) candidates respectively. The qualifying ages of all the applicants should be not exceeding 25 years for eligibility to the Management Trainee posts.

Pattern of Examination:

The applicants must appear and qualify in an objective type exam having multiple choice based questions on the following two main examinations:

Part I- General Aptitude Test

Part II- Technical/ Professional Knowledge Test

The General Aptitude Test shall consist of technical test from the following five disciplines: Electrical; Mechanical; Computer Science; Fire Engineering and Human Resources respectively.

Types of Questions asked include the following: Synonyms/ Antonyms/ Comprehension Passage/ Word Analogies/ Fill in the sentences with suitable words/ Aptitude Problem Solving Skills etc.

The written exam shall be followed by the following examinations:

1) Group Discussion (GD)

2) Interview

3) Psychometric Test

The Psychometric Test shall constitute questions basically to assess the behavioral dimensions of the applicants. The applicants should have qualified in the GATE (Graduate Admission Test for Engineering) exam for qualifying in the concerned post. The applicants qualifying in the concerned entrance exam will be recruited on a pay scale Rs 24900- Rs 50500 respectively.
