The BITS Pilani conducts the BITSAT Entrance Test every year for inviting candidates in the different engineering programmes available in the Institute. The entrance exam offers admission to all the eligible students who wish to pursue their higher education in the field of Engineering and Technology. The entrance exam for this session is scheduled to be held from 14^th May 2014 to 1^st June 2014 at its different campuses all over India.

For Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences Pilani:

1. Bachelor of Engineering:

Chemical Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ Computer Science Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering /Manufacturing Engineering/ Biotechnology

2. Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honors)

3. Master of Science (Honors)

Biological Sciences/ Chemistry/ Economics/ Mathematics/ Physics

4. Master of Sciences (Technology) General Studies

Eligibility for BITS SAT 2014:

The candidates in order to be eligible for the above courses should have qualified Intermediate/ Class 12^th in PCM (Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics) Group from any recognized central/ state Boards of India. The students who wish to take admissions in the Pharmacy Courses must be Intermediate in following subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Biology with aggregate mark of 75% obtained in all above stated subjects for this purpose.  The candidates who have topped in any central or state boards will be admitted irrespective of their scores obtained in the BITSAT 2014.

Pattern of Exam:

The BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology Science Admission Test) 2014 entrance exam is a computer based test of three hours duration on the following topics:

I Section: Physics (40 Questions)

II Section: Chemistry (40 Questions)

III Section: English and Logical Reasoning (15 + 10 Questions)

IV Section: Mathematics (45 Questions)

Total Number of Questions: 150

Duration of Exam: 3 hours

Each correct answer carries 3 marks and one marks deducted for every wrong answer attempted by the candidates.

Application Procedure:

The online application forms can be filled from the website of BITS Admission by paying the application fee of Rs.1900 (Rs.1400 for all the female candidates) in favor of the admissions officers at BITS Pilani. The candidates can either use the internet mode for payment of the registration fee or they can through Demand Drafts/ Bank Challans payable from any branches of the ICICI Banks. In case, the Demand Drafts of any other banks are drawn then the DD of Rs.1600 should be made.
