BITSAT Exam

Online examination to gain admission in the first year of graduation programme in any of the BITS Pilani Campuses is referred to as BITSAT. The campuses of this institution are at Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa. The name of this reputed institution is Birla Institute of Technology and Science. The Institute enjoys a Deemed University status. This is an online computer based test. Every year, around closing of the January month, the BITSAT Application Forms are released. The application also needs to be applied using online medium.

BITSAT Exam Pattern

The Application form needs to be filled properly and its print out or a hard copy needs to be retained for any future references.

Fees for the Application Form

# Male candidates – Rupees 1700 Only (Through DD)

# Female candidates – Rupees 1200 Only (Through DD)

BITSAT Challan Form

# The DD needs to be in favour of Admission Officer, BITS Pilani;

# Male Candidates – Rupees 1600 Only (Any other mode of payment)

# Female Candidates- Rupees 1100 Only (Any other mode of payment)

Note- BITS Pilani also have a campus in Dubai. In case, a student is applying for this campus, he or she needs to pay $50 USD in lieu of Application Form.

Pattern of Examination

# There will be 40 questions each on the subjects- Physics and Chemistry;

# There will be 15 and 10 questions on English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning respectively;

# There will be 45 questions on Mathematics;

# The questions asked are based on Multiple Choice pattern with four options each;

# 3 marks for every correct answer and one mark as negative marking for every incorrect answer;

Syllabus for the Entrance Exam

# The syllabus of this BITSAT Examination will be based on the syllabus of NCERT for classes XI and XII.

Important Dates to Keep in Mind

# Examination Date – 10th day in the month of June in the year 2013;

# Registration for BITSAT Closes on- 15th day in the month of February in the year 2013;

# Online BITSAT Test – 10th day in the month of May to 9th day in the month of June 2012
