BITSAT Admissions 2014 Details of Eligibility and Application Procedure
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) 2014 is held every year in the months of May / June respectively in online modes for inviting admissions to the different under graduate courses in Engineering and Technology fields. Lots of candidates participate in the concerned entrance exam every year for taking admissions in the BITS Pilani and other campuses of the Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (BITS).

Courses of Admission: B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology); BE (Bachelor of Engineering)
Eligibility for Admissions:
The applicants should be Class 12th / Intermediate passed with following main subjects to be studied in the qualifying examination- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and the minimum qualifying marks obtained in the concerned exam as stated for this purpose.
Pattern of Exam:
The BITSAT 2014 is an online computer based test conducted in objective modes under the following main sections:
Part I: Physics (40 Questions)
Part II: Chemistry (40 Questions)
Part III:
a) English Proficiency (15 Questions)
b) Logical Reasoning (10 Questions)
Part IV: Mathematics (45 Questions)

Marking Scheme:
The candidates will be given 3 marks for each correct answer marked by them while there will be a deduction of one mark each for all the incorrect answer marked by them. Hence, the candidates should attempt only those questions about which they are sure.
Total Time Allotted: 180 Minutes
Modes of Examination:
The candidates should appear and qualify in the exam conducted in computer modes. The questions will be in English language only for all the applicants to answer. The candidates can bring rough sheets with them for doing rough work.
Syllabus of BISAT:
The questions in the BITSAT 2014 shall be based on the syllabus of NCERT (National Council of Educational Research and Training) of the standard 11th and 12th respectively. The candidates can refer to the NCERT Books on the relevant subjects as required for this purpose.
Qualifying Criteria:
The candidates should secure the minimum qualifying marks in the qualifying subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as per the eligibility criteria stated. In case, the candidates obtain the same rank or score in the entrance exam then their admission shall be decided on the basis of the marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry respectively.
