Bihar TET Exam Pattern 2014 Exam Information & Details

The Bihar TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) is conducted for the selection of the eligible candidates who wish to pursue careers in teaching for the higher secondary and senior secondary levels of the school education in Bihar Government Schools and Colleges. The TET exam is the additional eligibility required for the qualification of Teachers in Primary and Secondary Schools for all the applicants interested to appear in the concerned eligibility exam.

Bihar TET Exam Pattern:

The Bihar TET Exam is conducted through two papers held for the qualification of teachers at both primary and secondary school education.

Paper I Topics:

1. Child Development and Pedagogy

2. Language I (Malayalam/ Kannada/ Tamil)

3. Languages II (English/ Arabic)

4. Mathematics

5. Environment Studies

Paper II Topics:

1. Child Development and Pedagogy

2. Language I

3. Language II

Science & Mathematics

Social Studies

Scheme of Examination:

The paper contains questions of objective type based on multiple-choice questions of 1 mark each. Total Number of questions is 150.

Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates should be having the following eligibility for appearing in the Bihar TET Exam.

For Primary School Education (Paper I): The candidates should be senior secondary passed with a minimum of 45% marks as a minimum qualification required for this exam. The candidates who have a degree in graduation (BA/ B.Sc.) with a minimum of 50% marks or B.Ed. will also be eligible for this exam paper.

For Secondary School Education (Paper II): The applicants should be having a degree in either of the following D.Ed./ BA/ B.Sc. with a minimum of 45% marks along with a B.Ed Degree with 50% marks for being eligible for this exam paper.

Bihar TET Exam 2014:

The Bihar TET Exam is mostly held in the months of July/ August for all the eligible applicants. The candidates are informed about the exam online from the website of the Bihar TET as and when announced by the website for this purpose. The application fee for both the papers is Rs. 400 (Rs. 200 for SC/ST/OBC) and for Paper I only Rs. 300 (Rs. 150 for SC/ST/OBC) respectively for all the candidates.
