BHU Medical Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Eligibility and Qualifying Criteria
The Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducts the common entrance exam for admitting students in different medical courses including the MBBS /BDS courses every year in the months of May/ June respectively. The admissions for the present session was done through the AIPMT (All India Pre Medical Test) 2014 scheduled to be held on 5th May 2014 for all the applicants. Name of Exam: BHU Entrance Exam
Conducting Authority: Banaras Hindu University
Courses of Admission: BDS/ MBBS
Eligibility for Exam:
The applicants should be Intermediate/ Class 12th passed with following main subjects- Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology & Botany) and English with a minimum of 50% marks obtained in the concerned qualifying exam. A minimum relaxation of 10% marks shall be provided to the SC/ST/OBC candidates and 5% relaxation for the General PWC Candidates shall be given for this purpose.
The qualifying age of all the applicants should be at least 17 year and not exceeding 25 years as on 31st December of the concerned year of admission.
Scheme of Examination:
The entrance exam for the Banaras Hindu University Medical Exam shall be conducted in two main stages:
1. Screening Test
2. Main Exam
The applicants will be required to qualify in both the examinations. The paper pattern for the BHU Medical Exam shall be as follows:
For Screening Exam:
Number of Questions: 200
Subjects: Physics (50 Questions); Chemistry (50 Questions); Botany (50 Questions ) and Zoology (50 Questions)
Total Marks Allotted: 400
Duration of Exam: 3 Hours

For Main Exam:
Number of Questions: 200
Subjects: Physics (25 Questions); Chemistry (25 Questions); Botany (25 Questions) and Zoology (25 Questions)
There will be two sections in this paper- Section I will be having a total of 100 questions and Section II 100 Questions respectively on each of the subjects as stated above.
Total Marks Allotted: 400
Duration of Exam: 3 Hours
Centres of BHU Medical Exam:
Varanasi, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata
The Main Exam is held in the month of June at the Varanasi Centre only as specified for this purpose.
