BCECE Exam Pattern 2014 Admissions to Medical and Engineering Courses
The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) is the qualifying exam for the admission of eligible candidates in the engineering, medical and pharmacy courses as made available in the state universities and colleges functioning under the Bihar Engineering Board. The exam provides admission to the candidates in the Bachelor of Science (Engineering) or Bachelor of Technology (Agricultural Engineering and Dairy Technology) courses. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination has been constituted by the Bihar Government as per the provisions of the Competitive Examinations Act 1995.

Eligibility for BCECE 2014:
The candidates should be Intermediate/ Class 12th passed in the following main subjects: Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics respectively. The minimum age of all the candidates should be at least 17 years for the candidates taking admissions in the Medical and Agricultural streams of courses.
Exam Pattern:
The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination consists of objective type and multiple choice based questions on the following subjects:
Physics
Chemistry
Mathematics
Biology
Duration of Exam: one hour
Syllabus of Study:
As per the Class 12th Books and Board Syllabus, the candidates need to study the complete theory as well as numerical for qualifying in the concerned exam.
The test will be conducted in offline modes only and the questions raised will be in English language only.

Qualifying Criteria:
The candidates should secure the required merit in the entrance exam in order to qualify in the concerned entrance exam. The candidates belonging to the reserved categories will get admissions as per the separate merit list prepared for this purpose. The merit list will be published in the all the leading National Dailies and Colleges participating in the concerned entrance exam.
Reservation of Seats:
For Scheduled Caste Candidates: 14%
For Scheduled Tribe Candidates: 10%
For backward Community Candidates: 10% respectively
