AU AIMEE Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Admission and Paper Qualifying Criteria
The Annamalai University All India Medical Entrance Exam (AU AIMEE) is the national level entrance exam conducted for the admission of eligible candidates in different medical and pharmacy courses as made available in the Annamalai University and the affiliated colleges under it. The exam is conducted by the Annamalai University in the months of May/ June respectively for all the eligible candidates.

Name of Exam: Annamalai University All India Medical Entrance Exam
Conducting Authority: Annamalai University
Courses of Admission: MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery), BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), B.Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy), BPT, B.Sc Nursing etc.
Eligibility for Exam:
The candidates in order to participate in the Annamalai University All India Medical Entrance Exam must possess the required eligibility as given below:
For MBBS/ BDS Course: The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Examination from the Tamil Nadu State Board or any other equivalent Board with a minimum of 50% Marks to be obtained in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together.
For B.Pharma Course: The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Examination from Tamil Nadu Board or any other equivalent Board with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Botany/ Zoology and English
For B.Sc Nursing: The candidates should have passed Higher Secondary Examination from Tamil Nadu Board or any other equivalent Board with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, the minimum percentage of marks being 45% aggregate taken together for all the subjects

Exam Pattern:
The paper will be having objective type multiple choice questions divided in to the following three sections:
Physics: 50 Questions
Chemistry: 50 Questions
Biology: 100 Questions
Total Number of Questions: 200
Total Marks Allotted: 200
Qualifying Criteria:
The candidates securing same merit in the entrance exam shall be admitted by comparing marks of the following:
Marks secured in Paper I (Biology);
Marks obtained in Higher Secondary Exam (Biology, Physics, Chemistry) taken together
Marks obtained in Biology under the qualifying exam and
DOB (elder candidates shall be given preference)
