Assam JAT Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Eligibility and Paper Pattern
The Assam Joint Admission Test (Assam JAT) is the qualifying entrance exam for the admission of eligible candidates in the different engineering, medical, dental and Ayurvedic colleges of Assam state. The test is held every year by the Directorate of Technical Education Assam in the months of May/ June respectively for all the eligible candidates. The students of Assam actively participate in the Assam JAT to get admissions under the Assam State Quota. Eligibility for Exam:
The candidates should have the following qualifications: Higher Secondary /Class 10th passed from the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or any other equivalent Board. The candidates should have studied the following as the main subjects in the qualifying exam: English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 50% marks in aggregate of the subjects as stated above.
Apart from this, the age of all the applicants should range in between 17 and 21 years in order to participate in the concerned entrance exam.

Exam Pattern:
The Assam Joint Admission Test is conducted in objective modes with multiple choice questions divided into following four parts:
Mathematics: 100 Marks
Physics: 100 Marks
Chemistry: 100 Marks and
Biology: 100 Marks
Total Marks Allotted: 400
Duration of Exam: three hours
