Exam Pattern:
There will be objective type multiple choice questions on the following main topics as given below. There are basically two papers in the AP Teacher Eligibility Test. The candidates intending to become the Primary School Teachers (Class I to V) should qualify the first paper of the exam essentially whereas the second paper for those who wish to become the Secondary School Teachers (Class VI to VIII).

Duration of Exam: 2 and half hours
Total Marks Allotted: 150

Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
Language I: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
Language II (English): 30 Questions (30 Marks)
Mathematics: 30 Questions (30 Marks) and
Environmental Studies: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
Paper II:
Total Number of Questions: 150
Total Marks Allotted: 150
Duration of Exam: 2 and half hours

Language I: 30 Questions (30 Marks)
Language II (English): 30 Questions (30 Marks)
Mathematics & Science/ Social Studies: 60 Questions (60 Marks)
For Mathematics & Science:
Mathematics: 30 Questions
Physical Sciences: 14 Questions
Biological Sciences: 16 Questions

For Social Studies:
History & Civics: 30 Questions
Geography and Economics: 30 Questions
Total Questions: 60
Mode of Examination:
The paper will be conducted in offline modes with questions in the following two languages: English and language I chosen in the first paper.

Qualifying Marks:
The candidates must secure the minimum cut off as stated for the exam. The minimum cut off marks for all the unreserved category of candidates is 60% and above in order to qualify in the concerned entrance exam.
