AP PSC Exam Pattern 2014 Details for Marking Criteria and Paper Structure

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is the state level civil services exam organizing body. The AP Public Service Commission conducts the entrance exam for different cadres of administrative services for all the eligible candidates who are at least Graduation passed with the minimum qualifying marks as specified for this purpose. The exam is usually conducted in two main stages: Written Exam and Interview respectively. Exam Pattern of APPSC:

The candidates will be required to answer objective type multiple choice questions on the following main topics:

Paper I: General Studies

Paper II: Social and Cultural History of Andhra Pradesh; General Overview of the Indian Constitution

Paper III: Planning in India; Indian Economy; Contemporary Problems and Developments in Rural Society with special reference to Andhra Pradesh

Total Number of Question: 150 each

Total Marks Allotted: 450 (150 each)

 Qualifying Marks:

For General candidates: 180

For Other Backward Category: 157.5

For SC/ ST/ PH: 135 respectively

 The candidates who qualify in the written exam will be only called in the Interview scheduled to be held subsequently after the written exam respectively. The candidates shall be called in the interview in the ratio of 1:2 (double the vacancy).

Weightage of Marks:

Interview Marks will be 12.5% more than the marks in the written exam. The final selections will be done on the basis of marks obtained in both the written as well as interview exam respectively.

Subordinate Services- Rs80

For Interview:
