AIPMT Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Syllabus and Examination Qualifying Criteria
The All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) is the national level entrance exam conducted for short listing eligible applicants in the under graduate as well as post graduate courses available in the field of medicine and dentistry respectively. Paper Pattern:
The All India Pre Medical Test shall consist of objective type multiple choice based questions from the following main subjects:
Physics (45 Questions)
Chemistry (45 Questions)
Botany (45 Questions)
Zoology (45 Questions)
Duration of Exam: 3 Hours
Total Number of Questions: 180 (45 questions per section)
Total Marks Allotted: 720
Marking Criteria:
The applicants will be given 4 marks for each correct option marked by them while there will be a deduction of 1 mark for each incorrect answers marked by them.

Time of Exam: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Modes of Examination:
The AIPMT is held in the paper- pencil modes for all the eligible applicants at the prescribed exam centres. The questions shall be put up in both the languages- English and Hindi respectively. The candidates should answer the questions using Blue/ Black Ball Point Pens only on the OMR Sheets as provided for this purpose.
The All India Pre Medical Test is conducted in all the states of India except the state of Jammu & Kashmir. The applicants short listed shall be given the 15% seats in the government colleges including both medical and dental colleges affiliated to the CBSE Board and participating in the concerned entrance exam.
Syllabus of Study:
The applicants who are participating in the exam to take admissions in the UG level courses should check the eligibility conditions as prescribed and prepare on the basis of the Class 12th syllabus as prescribed by the CBSE Board or any other equivalent Board of study for this purpose.
