AIEEE Admission

The Central Board of Secondary Education invites applications from aspiring students for enrollment in the AIEEE (All India Engineering/ Architecture Entrance Examination) commonly known as JEE Mains for admissions to different Engineering and Architecture Bachelor’s programmes in 30 National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and five Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs). The details for the same would also be accessible on its authorized web portal- jeemain.nic.in . All aspirants are suggested to keep a check on this site and apply as soon as the next notice is issued.

Conditions of Eligibility:

Students who have cleared their Intermediate Examination under 10+2 pattern or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2012 or 2013 are eligible to appear in AIEEE – 2014. However, appearing students are also entitled to apply. Candidates who appeared in their Intermediate Examinations in 2011 and did not pass in 2011, but passed in 2012 are not eligible to appear in this exam.

Age Restriction:

Applicants’ whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1989 are only eligible to apply for AIEEE. Nevertheless, in the case of reserved candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years as per norms. Those who do not accomplish this age restriction will not be eligible to apply for the AIEEE.

Application System:

Qualified and interested aspirants are supposed to apply through only online mode as stated in the Information Bulletin in order to appear in AIEEE- 2014. They are supposed to fill the recommended e-application form without any error and then upload scanned copies of your latest photograph, thumb impression & signature. Once you submit this page proceed for the submission of prescribed registration fee through Credit/Debit Card or by depositing fee in cash in the Syndicate/ Canara/ ICICI bank through e-challan generated during the online filling of application form. After payment get a hard copy printed out of the completed form and retain it carefully. The Confirmation Page is not required to be sent to AIEEE Secretariat while applying.

Admission Process:

Eligible and keen applicants shall be offered admission in their desired institute on the grounds of their choices and All India Ranks of AIEEE-2014 through a counseling procedure to be announced after the exams. The authentication of documents would be done at the time of admission. On failing to produce any of the authentic documents, the candidate will not be considered for admission. About:

The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) was introduced in the year 2002 and conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It was replaced by Joint Entrance Examination in April 2013.This national level competitive exam is held for admittance to different under-graduate engineering and architecture courses in institutes accepting the AIEEE score. The examination is usually held on the last Sunday of April and results are announced in the last week of May or the first week of June every year. Candidates are ranked on an all-India basis and state basis. Thus, they have an All India Rank (AIR) and a State Rank (SR).
