AIPGMEE Exam Details 2014 Eligibility for Exam

The All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exam (AIPGMEE) is conducted by the NBE (National Board of Examination) for the purpose of providing admissions to the eligible candidates in the different courses in the field of medical education. The main courses offered by the AIPGMEE include the following: MD/ MS and Diploma courses respectively. The National Board of examination was constituted in the year 1975 for the purpose of conducting the admission tests for various under graduate as well as post graduate degree/ diploma courses in modern medicine.

Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates can appear in the concerned exam provided they have the minimum eligibility as required for this purpose. The candidates who have a graduate degree in medicine which includes MBBS from any recognized medical college by the Medical Council of India will be held eligible for this exam.

Those candidates who have completed their MBBS and now undertaking a compulsory practical training can also apply for the concerned exam.

Scheme of AIPGMEE 2014:

The All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Exam will be an objective type paper having Multiple Choice Questions on the following: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, Social and Preventive Medicine, Medicine Dermatology and Venerelogy, Surgery, ENT, Orthopedics and Anesthesia, Radio Diagnosis and Radio Therapy, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Biophysics, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, and Psychiatry respectively.

Total Questions Allotted: 300

There will be no negative marking in the exam.

Application Method:

The candidates can apply online for the AIPGMEE 2014 Exam. The exam is announced every year in the months of November-December respectively in computer modes only. The candidates can register online for the exam through the website nbe.gov.in. The online application forms are usually made available in the October last for all the candidates. The candidates will have to pay the following s the application fee:

For General/ Other Backward Candidates: Rs.3750

For SC/ST/ PWD Candidates: Rs.2750

The candidates will have to pay no charges for the Counseling Fee held for the final selection in All India 50% Quota Seats

The APGMEE Exam will be held all over India at the following centres:

Bhopal, Dehradun, Greater Noida, Varanasi, Kolkata, Raipur, Indore, Bhubaneswar, Ghaziabad, Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Silliguri, Chandigarh, Patna, Durgapur, Guwahati, New Delhi, Surat, Vijayawada, Ahmedabad, Vishakhapatnam, Pune, Navi Mumbai, Jaipur, Jammu, Bangalore, Udaipur, Chennai, Hyderabad, Trivandrum, Nagpur, Kozhikode, Cochin, Lucknow and Coimbatore respectively
