About Central University of Orissa

Central University of Orissa was established in year 2009. It is situated at Koraput, Odisha, India.  The University announced the adoption of five adjacent villages named Chikapar, Chakarliput, Rajpalama, Balda and Nuaguda. The Vice-Chancellor also stressed the need for local area development of the villages, concentrating on education, health care, adult literacy, sanitation and skill development among the rural people. Mission of University is to provide quality education for all, so that we may fortify the backbone of the nation.

Central University of Orissa is one among the fifteen new Central Universities which was established by the Indian Government at the time of the UGC XI Plan. The Central University of Orissa has been set up by the Act of Parliament under Central Universities Act, 2009, No. 3C of 2009. Essential Fee for Remittance:

An amount of INR 500/- is to be paid by all the candidates belonging to general or OBC category and INR 300/- for Schedule Caste / Schedule Tribe category contenders and additionally INR 200/- subject wise (INR 100/- for  Schedule Caste / Schedule Tribe category contenders) must be paid, in case you are willing to apply for more than 01 subject.

Methodology of Registration:

Aspirants who are eligible and excited at the same time for the announcement of admission can apply through the website of the University i.e. cuo.ac.in . The admission forms together with prospectus are available at the web page and at counter of CUO (Koraput). Online registrations can also be made from the same URL. The candidates making online registration should also need to forward the applications hard copy through Speed Post or by hand to the following address –
