College of Agricultural Technology Admission Form 2014 Details of Courses, Eligibility and Applying Criteria

The GB Pant University of Agriculture & Technology Pantnagar announces admissions to different courses through a common entrance exam every year held in June/ July months respectively. The applicants who wish to enroll in the university courses may download the admission forms for the university courses from the official website of the university. The admissions to the university programmes are done purely on the basis of cut off marks and position in the merit list. The applicants qualifying in the entrance exam will be called in the counseling held in the university campus on the dates prescribed after the results are announced.

GB Pant University of Agricultural & Technology Admission Details:

The admission to the university courses is available in the following main disciplines: Agriculture, Agribusiness Management, Basic Sciences and Humanities, Fishery Sciences, Home Sciences, Technology, Veterinary & Animal Sciences respectively. The admission to all the disciplines shall be done on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam and merit in the qualifying examination respectively except the admission in Technology courses, the admission to which shall be done on the basis of the merit secured in the Joint Engineering Entrance Exam as conducted by the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) New Delhi.

1. Under Graduate Courses

-Bachelor of Science (Agriculture)

-Bachelor of Science (Food Technology)

-Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry

-Bachelor of Science (Home Science)

2. Masters /Post Graduate Courses:

-Master of Technology

-Master of Computer Applications

3. PhD Courses

Eligibility for Admissions:

For PG Courses:

The applicants for the MCA and other PhD Courses shall be open for the Uttarakhand residents only. The applicants outside the state may apply for the PG Courses only while the Wards of Kashmiri Migrants and Jammu & Kashmir Residents may apply to the UG Courses only.

The applicants applying to the M.Tech courses should be GATE qualified as well as B.Tech with not less than 6/10 or 3/5 or 55% marks in aggregate for being eligible.

For UG Courses:

The applicants should be Intermediate/ Class 12^th passed with the following subjects: English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology and the minimum qualifying marks 50% (40% for SC/ST candidates) from any recognized Boards of India.

 Application Process:

The candidates can avail the prospectus and admission forms either online from the university website or through designated post offices in the months of February/ March every year. The candidates can also purchase their admission forms and prospectus by post by sending the DD /Bank Drafts of Rs 200 drawn in favor of the “PEECRF A/C, GB Pant University of Agricultural & Technology Pantnagar”.
