Maharashtra TET 2014 Details of Eligibility, Selection & Application Criteria
The Maharashtra TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) is conducted by the Government of Maharashtra for selections in the post of Teachers at the primary and secondary levels. The Teacher Eligibility Test is organized by all the stated of India towards eligibility to get recruited in the post of teachers. The paper is conducted in two parts where the first paper is compulsorily to be qualified for eligibility for appointment as Primary Teachers (Classes I –V) and both the papers for appointment as Secondary School Teachers (Classes VI –VIII) respectively.

Eligibility:
The candidates in order to participate in the Maharashtra TET 2014 must have the educational qualifications as specified in the Government of Maharashtra Resolution dated 13th February 2013. In general, the applicants must be having a bachelor’s degree in education / elementary education or any other equivalent teacher education courses as recognized for this purpose and prescribed in the Maharashtra Resolution dated 13th February 2013. In addition to this, the candidate applying must belong to the state of Maharashtra.
Paper Pattern:
The Maharashtra TET is conducted separately for primary and secondary school teachers. The paper is conducted in the paper pencil formats for a total of 150 Marks having multiple choice questions of one mark each. The paper will be consisting of questions on the following major topics:
1) Child Development & Pedagogy: 30 questions
2) Language I: 30 questions
3) Language II: 30 questions
4) Mathematics: 30 questions
5) Environmental Studies: 30 questions
The second paper shall be having the first three sections as common and the fourth sections shall be based on subject chosen for teaching by the applicants. It can be either of the following: Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and for any other teacher. The last section of second paper shall be having 60 MCQs in concerned subject of one mark each.

Application Process:
The applicants are required to submit an online application for the Maharashtra TET 2014 at the website mahtet.in. The registration links shall become active for both the papers from 1st October 2014 and remain till 22nd October 2014. The candidates applying will have to pay Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC/ST applicants) as the application fee in case of Paper I and Rs 800 (Rs 250 for SC/ST candidates) in case of both the papers in the form of online downloaded challan for this purpose. After successfully registering online for Maharashtra TET 2014, candidates need to send the printed copy of the confirmation page and challan to –
