The Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla invites applicants for admissions in its upcoming academic session every year. Therefore, keen aspirants are advised to apply through online/ offline mode as soon as the official advertisement for admission is published on its website i.e. hpuniv.nic.in. Selection Methodology:

The shortlisting of aspirants for admission will take place on the grounds of the attainment of marks in the Entrance Tests conducted by the University entirely. Qualified candidates thereon will be selected on the grounds of their presentation in this Entrance test. Candidates, who do not qualify this Admission Test, would not be entitled for admission in their preferred course.

Conditions of Eligibility:

For PhD Courses: Candidates should have completed their Post graduation in the relevant domain/ discipline under any recognized college or University.

Masters’ Courses: Candidates should have completed their Graduation in the relevant domain/ discipline under any recognized college or University.

For Bachelors’ Courses: Candidates should have cleared their Higher Secondary or 10+2 Exam with the related stream from a recognized board of education.

How to Apply:

Keen & eligible candidates, who meet the pertinent criterion of eligibility in any of their preferred course, can download the specific Admission forms from its authorized web portal- hpuniv.nic.in. Fill this form correctly and keep hold of it carefully. Pay the prescribed application fee through a Demand Draft/ Bank Challan. Now attach transcripts of other necessary credentials and the duly filled up application form along with it and send all these together in an envelope within the scheduled due dates to the prescribed address. Applications reaching after the scheduled last date of receiving application will not be entertained.
